We recently hired Chelsea and her team as our Buyer’s Counsel for a land purchase.  We were 100% satisfied with the work that Chelsea did for us.  Despite numerous challenges throughout our purchase process, Chelsea represented us with professionalism, persistence and patience.  She always kept our best interests as her primary concern.  We were also impressed with her knowledge and attention to details.  We highly recommend Chelsea and her team!

The Metka Law Firm means BUSINESS! Chelsea, Teri & Cheryl worked extremely hard to meet a closing date. I sincerely could not have asked for a better real estate law firm to represent me as I shopped around for days; seeking a reputable, honest, affordable and go-getter! From the initial contract to closing table - every document was explained to me properly and if I did not understand something or had a question - I would instantly hear back from Chelsea (her response was always in GREAT detail). I would totally and utterly do business with this law firm again and definitely recommend to friends, colleagues and family!

FAQs

I’m selling as For Sale By Owner, can you help prepare the contract?

Yes, we assist many Sellers who are selling their properties without a real estate agent. We will help guide you through every step of the process.

If each party agrees to the terms of the contract, why do I need an attorney to review it?

Typically when a buyer and seller first enter into a contract, they don’t anticipate disputes or issues that could arise. Your attorney’s job is to point out potential areas of risk, to ensure you are making an informed decision to buy or sell based on specific contractual terms.

Is my earnest money deposit refundable?

The answer to this question is largely dependent upon your contract. But typically, if you are within your inspection period, you can get your full EMD back. If you are outside of your inspection period, our attorney would need to review your contract to advise you on what other arguments could be made in favor of a return of your EMD.

Give us a call today to discuss how we can assist with your contract.
